| Rabbi Ephraim Simon of the Chabad House of Teaneck will share thoughts on how Chabad's philsophy of outreach to unaffiliated Jews makes the movement one of the most dynamic forces in Jewish life today.
Chabad is one of the largest Jewish organizations in the world today -- its representatives and activities feature prominently in Jewish life throughtout our area
However the leaders and members of synagogues and other Jewish organizations may feel about Chabad, there is little question that Jewish communities can learn from its approach to Jewish outreach. Rabbi Simon's presentation and the follow-up discussion could be an excellent way to learn what the Chabad experience can teach other segments of the Jewish community about connecting unaffiliated Jews with Jewish life.
The Membership Affinity Group serves as a forum for chairs and members of synagogue membership committees to discuss how best to ensure that a congregation’s members are more than just names on a roster list. The Group meets three times a year to discuss how to recruit, retain, and integrate new members into synagogue life. Programs focus on ensuring that members are well-informed, cared for, and listened to.
