NCJW is a volunteer organization, inspired by Jewish values, that works through a program of research, education, advocacy, and community service to improve the quality of life for women, children, and families and strives to ensure individual rights and freedoms for all. NCJW Hoboken/Hudson organizes several community projects throughout the year. In October of 2007, NCJW donated 13 bed sets including comforter, sheets and pillow cases to Women Rising, a Domestic Violence Safety House in Jersey City. For the past 11 years, in November, NCJW has assembled and delivered 60-70 Thanksgiving dinner baskets to homebound senior citizens in Hoboken. In December, NCJW wraps and delivers holiday gifts to underprivileged children in Hoboken. These are just the projects planned for the Fall Season of 2007. There are many more projects NCJW needs assistance in funding through the rest of the year. “Working together, across the country and around the globe, our members and supporters continue to create meaningful change, making the world a better place every day,” Phyllis Snyder, NCJW President.
