HudsonJewish is proud to co-sponsor this year's CareLink program, a pre-Passover food delivery and visitation event that serves isolated older adults in our immediate neighborhood (Bayonne, Jersey City, Hoboken).
CareLink is an annual program of Jewish Family & Counseling Services, a top-rated social service agency that serves hundreds of people.
CareLink volunteers assemble, and then deliver Kosher-for-Passover meals. The total commitment is around 3 hours, but if you would prefer to just assemble the packages (or deliver them), that's OK too. The friendly, caring company is often as important as the food itself.
Meal assembly starts at 9AM at the Bayonne JCC (1050 Kennedy Boulevard). Participants are given names, addresses, and directions to home-bound or isolated people.
CareLink is an important way to teach children several mitzvahs: feeding the hungry, visiting the sick, and honoring our elders. It is also a great way to meet volunteers from other Jewish organizations, who all cooperate in this community-wide project.
Groups of volunteers are very welcome! RSVP with your contact information to:
